[Gnu-arch-users] Sharing a library between multiple developers

Are any problems likely to result from allowing many developers to
share a single tla library? 

I've started using arch for a project with a number of large trees,
after CVS chose a critical moment to reveal its shortcomings, leaving
me with a large, painful and entirely manual merge between branches
that I hope never to have to repeat.

Development occurs on platform shared by all the developers, remote
(in network terms) from the repository. Since some of the trees are
large, it would significantly speed some tla operations if we could
share the same library.  (A local mirror of the repository is another,
but less attractive, option.)

Initial experiments suggest that this works fine (provided the library
directory is writable by a group of which all the developers are
members, and no-one starts using a restrictive umask); can anyone
think of problems that might bite us later?
