The logic that Sony will undertake to replace disks if a backup is
needed is very interesting.

I must write to Sony and explain I have lost my collection of the entire
range of PlayStation games, a terrible uninsured accident, but since the
ruling clearly indicates they will replace them all those I was unable
to backup.

Seems backup is not to be regarded a significant non-infringing use.....
I can see more copyrighted material never surviving to the end of it's
copyright period.
