Pascal,

Your chart is biased towards Deep. It shows no advantages for Flattened. Consequently, it leaves new users with the problem of learning where to find generated files, i.e. object files, libraries, and executables. Mostly the system handles this for them, but what about the need to find the executable when debugging?
