You still haven't demonstrated that "changing tooltip delay", having
frame widgets draw a box, or dropping tear-off menus, equates to
"performing complex tasks" — unless, obviously, you consider the
current Denemo UI the only way to perform complex tasks, in which case
I strongly encourage you to look at the wider world of user
interaction and design, including in the proprietary world.

Alternatively, you will need to guide me through what you define as "a
complex task", and how is GTK failing to help you perform it.

That's entirely up to you, and though I hope you reconsider that, if
using GTK2 serves the Denemo project better than reworking your UI to
take advantage of new API, then more power to you.
