Ah, it could actually be that using /mode command works as intended.

In that case, would it be possible to enable a similar behaviour for /(de)op
and /(de)voice commands?

It's a bit offtopic, but it reminded me of a ban command - likewise, would it
be feasible to implement definable banmasks for use with /ban command?
Currently it simply bans address@hidden
