Dear Peter:

I dumped the SRPM file for blt from the RedHat distribution here:

http://lark.cc.ku.edu/~pauljohn/Swarm/Swarm-2.2x_RPMSforRH8.0/

And I extracted the source code and the patches that RedHat used into this directory.

http://lark.cc.ku.edu/~pauljohn/Swarm/Swarm-2.2x_RPMSforRH8.0/bltsrc/

The last time I built blt by hand, it was tedius because I had to get the tcl/tk source, dump blt's directory in there, hack a bunch of makefiles, etc. For a while we were using the "blt-unofficial-8" package that did not require that, but I'm not sure about the current distro. From an examination of the commands in the spec file (which shows the build commands) it appears to me it must have gotten easier:

Dear Dr. Johnson,
I'm getting
stuck in the build because I'm missing BLT (a tcl extension).

The problem is that I can't find it anywhere.
