Paul, in fact, someone from gnu.org finished work on avcall for linux-ppc
a few days ago, and today, I could test it successfully on my iMac.
As long as the patched avcall isn't released with Swarm --- I expect
Marcus wants to test it on his machine(s) first --- I'd advise
patience or the download of some files from
http://cvs.sourceforge.net/cgi-bin/cvsweb.cgi/clisp/ffcall/?cvsroot=clisp
You'll need to copy
configure.in
avcall.h.in
Makefile.in
avcall-rs6000-linux.s
into the avcall dir after unpacking Swarm.
My small models do work.
Best wishes,
ralf
