Doesn't SuSE have Tcl 8.0 and Tk8.0 in /usr/lib?  For some reason
tcl_library isn't being set by Tcl_CreateInterp, maybe because 
the compiled-in TCL_LIBRARY is wrong.  Try setting TCL_LIBRARY to
the path where init.tcl can be found, probably /usr/local/lib/tcl8.0.
