Hi,
I abondoned IRIX-6.3 and am now trying to install SWARM-1.3 on IRIX-6.4
(bigger machines, too! :-)
I use:
GCC 2.8.1 (pre installed on system)
GNU Make version 3.77 (pre installed on system)
blt8.0-unoff
ffcall-1.3
libpng-1.0.2
tcl8.0 (as suggested by address@hidden (Marcus G. Daniels))
tk8.0 (as suggested by address@hidden (Marcus G. Daniels))
xpm-3.4h
zlib-1.1.2
For configure I used
configure --prefix=/users/werk/swarm --enable-gcc --disable-shared
I modified Makefiles so they used -O2 in stead of -O3 and left other flags
unchanged (I hope that was what you meant, Jayshree?). Marcus suggested I
export SHELL
and CONFIG_SHELL before configure-time as bash, but that does not seem to
change much.
I think things ran a bit smother this time around, but I'm still having
prolems making the collections:
Making all in collections
make[3]: Entering directory `/tmp/werk/swarm-1.3/src/collections'
/bin/sh ../../libtool --mode=compile gcc -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I. -I. -I../.. -I..
-I./.. -I./../defobj -I./../misc -g -O2 -Wno-import -c List.m
gcc -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I. -I. -I../.. -I.. -I./.. -I./../defobj -I./../misc -g
-O2 -Wno-import -c List.m
gcc: Internal compiler error: program cc1obj got fatal signal 6
make[3]: *** [List.lo] Error 1
make[3]: Leaving directory `/tmp/werk/swarm-1.3/src/collections'
make[2]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1
make[2]: Leaving directory `/tmp/werk/swarm-1.3/src'
make[1]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/tmp/werk/swarm-1.3'
make: *** [all-recursive-am] Error 2
Do any of you know what that means?
Would it be easier if I could get a binary version og SWARM-1.3 from one of
you other IRIX-6.4 devellopers?
