yeah, i think too... i should add a AC_REQUIRE() command in configure.ac

but in CVS there should be anything so that's possible to build 
libmustux/protux without needing autotools...

perhaps a
$ make distclean
$ cvs up
$ ./configure
$ make

will do it ?
