Hi Jorn,

The error is not important; it's related to themes in Ubuntu and doesn't  
affect paparazzi.  It's annoying though!

You plane falls to the ground probably because you haven't pressed the  
takeoff button before launching - if you watch your simulation, you'll see  
the throttle will stay at zero. This is a safety feature, as with a real  
UAV you definately wouldn't want it to start flying as soon as it was  
switched on.
The simulator is actually working perfectly; imagine what would happen if  
you chucked your UAV with no throttle on!
