He he, well I actually got it working with VS .NET 2003. Most of the
problems were related to the change in template and typename syntax and
problems with stlport makefile not building all the needed .lib files. But
it's all (more or less) fixed now. It has been quite a rewarding exercise,
you get to know NeL when you are deep down in the source.

if you had used 4.5.3 it would of been 500% simpler and easier
and im stioll not convinced it will work as it should even now
especially if your getting this kind of strange error.
4.5.3 just works :)

Hi,
I actually got NeL to compile with STLPort 4.6. I'm now trying to compile
some of the tools and samples. One of the tools is bugging me though - it
complains about the c_str() being an unresolved external symbol! Could that
be because I'm using STLPort 4.6? But then how could I compile nel? That
doesn't add up.
I'm so confused :-)

no you have to use stlport 4.5.3 , 4.6 does NOT work with windows
compiles of nel
in any shape or form
i believe nevrax reported the bugs to stlport but they are not fixed as yet
