Hi,

Thanks for your reply.

I have searched the mailing list and I’m aware that the optimal would be to use 4.5.3 but I have been unable to compile it with VC7.1. Is it impossible to get STLPort 4.6 to work with NeL?

Jacob,

Hello, i am assuming two things

a) your using 4.6 not 3.6

b) you don't read the mailing list often enough :)

STLPort 4.6 doesnt work with NeL on the windows platform

We all use 4.5.3 without problems

i recommend you remove every scrap of 4.6 and compile 4.5.3 which can be found on STLPort's

FTP

Subject: [Nel] Compile Error

Hi J

Ok, I think I have everything (well almost everything J ) set up correctly for compiling. I do get 118 compiler errors though!

Most of them are from string_common.h in nel/include/nel/misc

I will list just the first three:

C:\SoA\home\code\nel\include\nel\misc\string_common.h(199): error C2084: function '_STL::string NLMISC::toString(const uint32 &)' already has a body

C:\SoA\home\code\nel\include\nel\misc\string_common.h(200): error C2084: function '_STL::string NLMISC::toString(const sint32 &)' already has a body

C:\SoA\home\code\nel\include\nel\misc\string_common.h(216): error C2084: function 'void NLMISC::fromString(const _STL::string &,uint32 &)' already has a body

I have the VC7.1 compiler and STLPort 3.6.

I appreciate any kinds of input you might have.

Thanks

Jacob
