Suggestions,

1) try it again. Do a make clean and then rebuild it. If it crashes at a 
different place, or works this time, your hardware has problems (see the 
signal 11 howto for more info)
2) try upgrading ld if it crashes at the sane place again.

Basicly, signal 11 shouldn't happen in ld, no matter what the code in 
muddleftpd does.
