newlog2.patch is correct and better than newlog1.patch (but it was
correct too).

Yes, it seems that it will go in cvs in future.

There's no need to rush porting to macros, the old code is still here,
don't put too much work/stress on yourself.
I'll take care of the BT module because that's the one i understand.
