In my case, each time I use srand, I call it like this:


But we can't be sure that time is implemented. So, the magic number is not so
bad as workaround...

We could use an iteration inside the range to,
but it could cause lot of ARP conflict. The idea is to get some random to
avoid that all devices try the same address. For information, why don't you
like rand/srand?
