Greetings to everyone on the Lout mailing list.

I have just started preparing the next version of Lout, which
I hope to release a few weeks from now. If you have any
comments, suggestions or problems that you haven't already
let me or the mailing list know about, this would be a good
time.  But please don't resend anything you've already posted;
I keep all the emails, indeed I already have 29 items that have
accumulated since the last release. Most of them are small.

One larger thing is Ludovic Courtes's @Math package, which appeared
with the current Lout release as an optional replacement to @Eq.
As advertised then, the plan is to make @Math the standard way to
get mathematics from this next release on; @Eq will still be
available, forever, for backward compatibility, but the User's
Guide will describe only @Math. If you have been using @Math,
Ludovic and I would love to hear your comments. I already plan
to do an audit of the precedences of the operators; if you have
any other issues please let us know.

Over the next few weeks I have a conference to go to and hopefully
also a hiking trip, so I will be at home, reading email, and working
on Lout only intermittently. But, as always, feel free to send your
comments and suggestions at any time.

Jeff Kingston
