I already proposed that to Duane Groth two or three years ago. Just two days
ago I even pointed
him to a Howto for writing a registrar server in Java with code examples. But
he doesn't want to
implement it. On one hand E164.org was running a SIP registrar and proxy
service but dropped it
because of the support workload and on the other hand Duane is afraid that
E164.org will be
classed as telco instead of a directory service (see
http://www.e164.org/wiki/E164ITU).
