Sorry, I probably didn't make myself clear: I was thinking rather of
\tempo "new text" dur  = count, but with only the text visible, while
at the same time setting tempoUnitDuration/Count to preserve tempo
changes in MIDI.

I think setting count to 0 would break MIDI output.
