it may take some effort and there are bound to be caveats -
some inconsistencies like this example, may not appear until
someone notices them and reports something dubious - overall
though, it would probably be an improvement of accuracy

it is an example though, of how an arbitrary entry for
"Distro: (other) ______" may reveal something informative - lets
say that such a device is reported as working on mint-linux, but
not working on trisquel with the same kernel and kernel module -
that could suggest some hidden non-free dependency in use
