gpsfake does not require gpsd to be running as a daemon to work.
gpsfake does not require gpsd to be installed as a system daemon to
work.

gpsfake does require a local gpsd.

You can not avoid it having gpsd locally.

But you seem to have at least two copies, so the opposite problem.
