We have something better than that: the GNU Kind Communication Guidelines.

Instead of drawing a line, with "acceptable" on one side and
"unacceptable", like a code of conduct, the Kind Communication
Guidelines teach what is better and what is worse.  So people can
continue to improve, beyond merely "acceptable".

I will not adopt a code of conduct for GNU.
