If you'd just invert that heading from "deleted" to "retained", it'd be a nice progression:

archived?    copied?   retained?  =

yes          yes       yes        source
no           yes       yes        precious
no           no        yes        backup
no           no        no         junk

Because it really is four levels of importance, with the assumptions that
1. Everything worth storing in an archive is worth copying with the tree
2. Everything worth copying with the tree is worth retaining in the tree
