My understanding is that it was not possible to bring any dll over into WINE to get the MS rasterizer. It's built directly into the Windows kernel (or something else that isn't a dll). I would be *really* happy if I were wrong however! Please share if you find a way!

But on Wine, it'll use FreeType rather than the MS rasterizer, so

The point is that you can install the MS rasterizer DLL within
Wine :-)

Behdad says that he successfully has done this; I will ask him for
details.  [Hmm, maybe I'm wrong and he was only talking about the
OpenType support.]
