Oh! If you have Planner, use (setq remember-annotation-functions
planner-annotation-functions) to take advantage of a ton of automatic
context-sensitive hyperlinks. If you don't have Planner yet, check it
out! It's a great way to have hyperlinked tasks and TODOs. To install
it, follow the instructions at
http://www.emacswiki.org/cgi-bin/PlannerMode .

I've added planner-annotation-from-file-with-position to the list of
planner functions in the development version. If you prefer to use the
stable function, copy that and the related code to your ~/.emacs file.
Load that before setting remember-annotation-functions to
planner-annotation-functions.

Hope that helps! Tell me if you prefer keeping a flat-file outline, or
if we can persuade you to switch to Planner (which also gives you the
benefit of being able to publish your notes as HTML and RSS)...
