I managed to get that to "work" too, but I suspect the missing variable
is important. When I checked the published files, they looked fine,
until I tried to use the links that had been placed in the PDF
versions. I would have expected the links to point to other PDF files,
but instead they pointed to (by then non-existent) .tex files.
John, I may be being premature here since it may all be due to the
missing variable, but when muse-project-publish asks its various
questions, it asks if I want to add newlines (presumably because it's
trying to save) some of the temporary files (mostly .tex files) being
created as a result of trying to publish PDFs.
