Isnt there an issue with the cairo license? Is cairo ready for use? Can cairo
use opengl?

But I don't have enough time for cairo-back now because I'm busy working on cmyk soft proofing in gimp (hope to finish it by this week) and my own library called maliwan which is almost working (there are a few shots annouced in its blog), after that I'll only concentrate on blu tulip, an imaging program. That's it, I'm pretty busy. But if anyone is interested by cairo-back development you can always checkout
back-cairo module from woom's cvs on savannah...

Why don't we go ahead and stick it in the core CVS? I'm willing to test it.
