Greetings to my fellow backgammon enthusiasts.... I have just recently
discovered the GNU backgammon project though I've played sporadically on
FIBS for some years.
So far I have just run into one problem:
If I ask for a cube decision hint (or one pops up in tutorial mode), I can
toggle from MWC to Equity, but switching back from Equity to MWC sometimes
works and sometimes results in a crash.
I am running the Windows port from oeysteij's webpage under Win2K,
PIII-500 processort. The crash error message is "unknown software
exception 0xc00000fd, location 0x30303035." Choosing Debug reveals error
is a stack overflow.
I can't make it happen *every* time, but if I toggle it at every cube
decision in a 5- or 7-point match, more often than not I crash before the
match is over.
Is this is a known bug? If not, what additional information can I offer
you to help track it down?
