Hi David,

Is it possible that you downloaded just the source code and that you still need to build Bibledit, using Xcode etc.?

I assume you are following the instructions at http://sites.google.com/site/bibledit/gtk/installation/technicalities/compile-from-source. The use of the "ls" command there assumes that you have moved the file bibledit-gtk-x.x.tar.gz to your home folder, not the applications folder. At this point, ls will show you only what's in your home folder.

Hi!

I am attempting to load Bibledit onto my Mac. I am running OS 10.6.4 on a MacBook Pro.

I went through all of the preliminary steps and everything went very well. I installed Xcode, X terminal, Mac Ports and got all the dependencies all going without any problem.

When I went to download the actual Bibledit program I could not get it to do anything. It would download, I put it into my applications folder and then went to the X terminal and typed in "ls" to see if it was there. Was not. I have attempted this several times and to no avail.

So, am writing to you as this is the email address that I found in the instructions. If you could direct me in how to get this program on my computer I would be greatly appreciative. Hoping to use it to finalize some work in a language program we began in Papua New Guinea some time ago.

Thank you for all your help. If this is not the correct contact person would you be able to forward this onto another who may also be of assistance.
