Well, it's a bit cheaper than USBisp, I'm surprised they got it that
fast (Igor plug-USB on the AT90S2313 was quite slow).

No idea about it.  Personally, I don't mind soldering SMDs so I see no
advantage in advertising something as ``does not use SMD parts''.

Too bad the author(s) didn't simply approach the avrdude-dev list to
get their patch integrated and maintained.
