Good question. I think usually you wouldn't translate names, although
I can think of examples where names have been translated. Terry
Pratchett springs to mind ... but then again, the German translations
of his books suck ;-).

I probably would keep the original names (and in the case above
possibly even the "Lady").

I've also read the "ass" above as "Esel" rather than "Arsch",
considering that the player character is fairly high up. Although I
have to say that (a) I might be wrong and (b) I can see that it is not
always clear which line belongs to which character. So I'll better
shut up :-).

I would say this depends a bit on the character. For most, a
colloquial style would work. The Dwarves (Bjarn Fingolson and Erek
Stonebreaker), Silverhair and her servants (Sarin, Janesta and the
player) and Lady Frostbloom would be more formal, however.

Anyway, I'd leave the final judgement to you. If it sounds good to
you, it'll be about right.
