I haven't heard much about Evo for about 2-3 years, and yes there was
a Java port discussed but even that was some time back, IIRC. You
probably should contact the original author, Michael Krumpus. His
website *was*: www.omicrongroup.org, but seems to be 404 now. Try
Googling for him. I can send you the last e-mail address I had for
him in private mail.
