I think heads > 16 is a hack used to address the problem of growing
capacities. If you look at your physical geometry ( cat
/proc/ide/hda/geometry [or similar] ), you'll see the logical and physical
geometry of your drive. Given your numbers, the correct geometry would be
along the lines of C:39525 H:16 S:63.
I think (not verified) that the hd plugin only handles physical geometry.
### I still warn you of the dangers of using your real hard disk with Plex. Be
warned that concurrent access to the same data is not something that current
operating systems handle very well. ###
I'm not positive that it is your problem, but it will certainly help. A simple
test would be to comment the HD line, and see if it boots (you'll probably
end with "Non system disk" or something like that, but at least it would pass
the first instruction :-P )
