Hi,

as the "Quality Coordinator" of the project, I have to say that I'm not
amused to see heaps of bugs on the Savannah bug tracker *not being assigned*
to anyone.

I suggest that every developer who has just a bit of time, goes through the
buglist and grabs a few bugs which he/she will fix in the near feature.

An (optional) plus would be to note down somewhere, when this might happen.

Second point:

The patch submit list is full of rather old patches.
Patch reviewers:
please
a) don't let patches sit there un-assigned for ages
b) please submit patches ASAP (or they will be outdated...)
or
c) if there are reasons not to submit a patch, reject it and let the author
know why it has been rejected.

But pelase don't just let it sit around for ages gathering dust...

BTW: a patch submitter has all reasone to feel offended, when a patch
reviewer lets the patch sit around rather long and after that comes back to
the patch author with the remark "please do it again, it's outdated and
doesn't fit to the latest version". Well, it's not the fault of the patch
submitter that it doesn't match any more...

OK, enough for today

Have fun

Christian aka bofh42

(ceb: does this qualify for "ranting coordinator"? ;-) )
