I feel personally offended by your actions.  You have publicly
accused me of doing something which is ethically wrong (namely,
including non-free software in a DotGNU CD-ROM) but you refuse
to provide the necessary details so that your claim could be
checked.

In any case, we will investigate the matter.

If, as your message seems to imply, the only point of concern
is the gradients in that template, then I do not think that
there is really a copyright or free vs non-free issue because it
would be hard to argue that an image gradient contains enough
expression of creativity to be subject to copyright law in the
first place.  As far as copyright law is concerned, all affine
functions and the corresponding image gradients are in the
public domain.

If indeed the use of that particular image gradient can be
traced to another project which used it before us, I will
however consider it a matter of common courtesy that we should
talk with that other project and if they're unhappy about us
using the image gradient they generated, we'd want to respect
their wishes even when there is no legal obligation to do so.
