Follow-up Comment #87, bug #53006 (project octave): @Torsten (Re: comment #84): I applied your patch and after a bootstrap-configure-make cycle on a system with Qt 5.9.4, the search in the search tab of the documentation widget still works. @Pantxo (Re: comment #85): The GUI on Windows (without your patch) does currently not open (b9f0f1aaae3b+ with unrelated changes in ov-java.cc). A message window with "Could not setup the data required for the documentation viewer. [...]" appears. After pressing the "OK" button, Octave crashes. I did not read all 86 comments so far. Do you think your patch will fix this crash?
