I forgot one thing, Unicode. Zope is a weak i18n platform (yes,
Zope 2.6 too) for many reasons.

If this effort to internationalize Zope bets strongly for i18n,
including Unicode, I would be much more interested. I think there
is a big audience of people that needs Unicode.

For example, the management screens should be encoded in UTF-8,
and the hardcoded use of latin-1 as the default encoding of normal
strings should be removed. If this kind of changes are in the
scope of the project I would actively work on it.

Johan, which are your plans here?
