Hi Mike,

You probably want to ask in the Freescale Coldfire Forums.  I monitor it

The/ "Bumping USB Priority"/ message is emitted from the kernel very
early on to indicate that the memory crossbar switch is being
reprogrammed to give USB the highest access priority to the memory bus. 
This is needed to address an issue with usb disconnects in certain
situations.

As for your issues with transferring control to the kernel.  It could be
a number of things.  Do you have a debugger that you can attach to your
board?

Also -- is your hardware clock/memory map/etc the same as the M54455EVB?
