 As usual, I'd really like to look at your config.log.

 Yes, xmlwrapp is better written than lmi, I should use the same boost.m4
as Vaclav used for the former for the latter instead of redoing it, badly.

 I think it was still worth sending it because something is wrong, it
should have worked without any extra options just because of CPPFLAGS and
LDFLAGS.

 Yes, you definitely should. g++ 4.6 doesn't support C++11 (it supports
pieces of C++0x, but it's not at all the same thing) and it just doesn't
make sense to go back and try to work around its problems when we're trying
to standardize on using 4.9. Please don't waste time on trying to make it
work with 4.6.
