OK, I did what you said:

Now I get:

Jan 23 22:11:56 server1 jk_lsh[29178]: WARNING: user tom (1004) tried to run 'sftp-server', which is not allowed according to /etc/jailkit/jk_lsh.ini

I am trying to ssh and I am trying to SFTP using CuteFTP.

Now I am getting this... I think I am a little closer now:

Jan 23 16:30:57 server1 jk_chrootsh[15739]: path /usr/sbin/jk_lsh is
group writable
Jan 23 16:30:57 server1 jk_chrootsh[15739]: path /usr/sbin/jk_lsh is
writable for others

chmod go-w <jail>/usr/sbin/jk_lsh

Jan 23 21:30:57 server1 jk_lsh[15739]: jk_lsh version 2.4, started
Jan 23 21:30:57 server1 jk_lsh[15739]: WARNING: user tom (1004) tried to
get an interactive shell session (/usr/sbin/jk_lsh), which is never
allowed by jk_lsh

what command or client did you use? it looks like you tried to ssh into
the account.

Olivier
