Now I am getting this... I think I am a little closer now:

Jan 23 16:30:57 server1 jk_chrootsh[15739]: now entering jail /home/jailkit for user tom (1004) Jan 23 16:30:57 server1 jk_chrootsh[15739]: path /usr/sbin/jk_lsh is group writable Jan 23 16:30:57 server1 jk_chrootsh[15739]: path /usr/sbin/jk_lsh is writable for others
Jan 23 21:30:57 server1 jk_lsh[15739]: jk_lsh version 2.4, started
Jan 23 21:30:57 server1 jk_lsh[15739]: WARNING: user tom (1004) tried to get an interactive shell session (/usr/sbin/jk_lsh), which is never allowed by jk_lsh

HELP!!!

Hello,

What should be the group and passwd file in the jailkit folder?

What should be in the /etc/group and /etc/passwd

When I try to SFTP I get the message:

abort, groupname users differs from jail groupname tom for groupd ID
100, check /etc/passwd and /home/jailkit/etc/passwd

if you use jk_jailuser it should automatically add the right entries.

from the error message it seems that /etc/group and <jail>/etc/group are
different for group 100. They should be identical.

regards,
Olivier
