The *.so files are absolute symlinks. If you mount the Hurd partition
under Linux, they will point to the Linux binaries if you have them
installed. Search the archive for my script fixlinks (or ask me for it)
that replaces all absolute links in /gnu/lib by relative ones.
Important for cross compilation, too.
