[Freetype] difference appearance in ftview and ftstring

Hi!
I try to use freetype to show some string. But I find the ftstring demo doesn't 
show Chinese character as good as ftview.

for example, there are screen prints of two characters in same height 12 
points. Chinese character should always be same size. But in ftstring the two 
characters have different height and the glyphs are not as pretty as ftview 
one. So in Chinese people's eyes, the ftview one is more better. 
I can't understand why they have different appearance. I read the code but 
still not familiar with these functions. 
Any idea?
