Everything Mark said is about what I would have said. I'd also suggest trying to keep paragraphs under 1000 characters (roughly 100-150 words) where possible. Because of the nature of Biology, it's often possible to use annotated diagrams, which is one very good way of presenting information instead of having lots of body text.
