I didn't yet decide firmly whether Emacs 23 will support MS-DOS.  It
depends on whether I will have time to fix the breakage due to
multi-tty and the upcoming Unicode mergers.

So, for now, I'd appreciate if we would try to avoid 8+3 problems if
we can avoid that.  For the record, there are no such conflicts in the
current CVS trunk.
