World Education Forum

The Free Software Foundation Europe will participate to the World Education Forum, that will be held next 24-27 October in Porto Alegre, Brasil. Cf. http://www.forummundialdeeducacao.com.br/.

There it will present libre software and the GNU project, in both aspects of a new technological possibility for education, and a cultural project of sharing the knowledge with guaranteeing .

The Free Software Foundation Europe calls the Libre Software community to propose any kind of contributions:

1) before August 28:
Articles: a first collection of articles will be included within the final officiel report of the World Education Forum. They will to arrive to FSFE before 28 of August. They will be read by professional of education sector that will discover for the first time the GNU project, and thus must be technically easy to understand. Articles will be preferably not longer than 4500 letters (around 3 pages), and can related to one of the following themas (for example debates 2,5,6,12). Interested people for writing articles can let FSFE know their intention from now.

2) before October 5
Another collection of articles will be distributed during the Forum. Same caracteristics. Also in preparation, a cd-rom: any sugggestion of texts, softwares or video welcome.

3) from now to the Forum, the website of FSFE will develop webpages about Education, through http://savannah.gnu.org/projects/edu. Call to volunteers for the website.
