I didn't get time to look at the glibc docs, have you
had a look? (if you're well again)
you mentioned redefining \smallskipamount, any progress?

I did some more thinking about the TexInfo fonts issue.
Jade (DocBook processor) does the right thing, it has
simple style sheets and uses LaTeX, so I converted the
GCC manual into DocBook.

Sounded great but the output wasn't perfect, TexInfos
docbook output needs some work.  I'd like to work on
this but not in time for out 2 month deadline.  I
posted the outputs of my work to:
