Simon, where you able to get a file to print using that technique?

I tried to upload the texinfo files that Josh Gay created to show how
he made the changes. However, CVS told me that i do not have write
access to the respository.  

Jim, can you fix this for me?  Once I can upload, I can add the latest
versions of the GCC manuals.  I will unpack them on my local system
and just upload the doc files to avoid cluttering up the site.
