The msgids should be automatically extracted from the source. You
can't fix them without fixing the source itself (which is fine with 
me). As I understand it, gettext will use the msgid to look up the 
translation, so correcting a typo/spelling fault in the msgid without
changing the program source would make the translation disappear.
