The bug-auctex mailing list (aka the gmane.emacs.auctex.bugs newsgroup)
is the official AUCTeX bug tracker.

I wouldn't veto if some volunteed would make AUCTeX switch from a plain
bug mailing list to debbugs, but it's not that important to me to invest
time in that myself.  For the little amount of AUCTeX issues, the
current state seems good enough to me.
